In the development of blood coagulation factor concentrates, which are indispensable to medical treatment for hemophiliac patients, we were the first in the world to succeed in a high-purity refinement process of Factor monoclonal antibody. From this highly technical method, we succeeded in the development of high-level plasma derivatives. KAKETSUKEN has been placed as one of the primary suppliers , in terms of domestic self-sufficiency of blood coagulation factor preparations. In addition, KAKETSUKEN makes every effort to prevent infiltration by infectious factors by paying close attention to the acceptance of materials for final products. To thoroughly ensure safety against viruses, we not only conduct 　Nucleic-Acid amplification Technology tests (NAT), but also use appropriate treatment for inactivation and elimination of infectious agents, for HBV, HCV, HIV viruses, etc.
By further advancing our research, KAKETSUKEN has established an eradication process with nano-filter membranes as a new preventive process for the HIV and hepatitis viruses. Factor concentrate for hemophilia A therapeutic medicine which is also applicable for Von Willebrand's factor disease, is supplied as well as Factor concentrate. Bolheal, an adhesive for living tissue, is one of KAKETSUKEN's main products, and is widely used as an epoch-making product to help surgical operations. Bolheal is also contributing to the effective use of blood donations. Venilon, sulfonated immunoglobulin, which tops KAKETSUKEN'S product line with its high safety profile as well as efficacy, has applications to Kawasaki disease, ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura)and Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and is shouldering expectations as the next core product of KAKETSUKEN. Anact C, an activated protein C product which was first developed by KAKETSUKEN, is used as an orphan drug to treat Congenital protein C deficiency. Furthermore, we have been actively pursuing alliances with overseas companies to seek the expansion of our business. KAKETSUKEN produces an AntiThrombin product originally developed byZLB Behring　which contributes to the materialization of domestic self-sufficiency of plasma derivatives.
